Descriptive and administrative metadata are stored in EML and structural metadata in the meta.xml file. The dataset additionally consists of a supplementary data file (\"Include_dates\") that indicates which sampling date per year should be included in analyses. Only in a few years several dates were sampled and this ensures selecting only one representative date for these years and thereby consistency with years where only one sample was taken.
