Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 acknowledged SRL researchers and/or experienced practitioners from six countries and diverse disciplinary contexts. The interviews explored theoretical perspectives, observed self-regulatory behaviours, strategies for supporting SRL, contextual barriers and facilitators, assessment and feedback, and implications for lifelong learning. Data were analysed using an iterative thematic approach guided by a six-step framework.\nThe dataset accompanying this descriptor contains two files. <BR><BR>\n\n<B>Datafiles</B><BR><BR>\n\n•\t<B>Study1_Dataverse_Deidentified.docx:</B><BR>\n De-identified qualitative data derived from the final thematic analysis. The file contains the final coding structure and coded interview quotations grouped by code/theme. It does not contain full interview transcripts. Original participant labels, source filenames, ATLAS.ti references, and potentially identifying contextual details were removed or generalised; quotation identifiers are repository-specific and are not linked to the original participant numbers.<BR><BR>\n\n•\t<B>Study 1_Interview guide.doc:</B><BR>\n Semi-structured interview guide used for data collection. It includes the study introduction, working definitions of SRL and complex skills, the interview questions, and the closing script.
