Participants gave a true and false statement about a negative autobiographical event, with half of the participants receiving a detailed model statement just before giving their statement. We expected false statements to include more non-verifiable and less verifiable details than true statements, and that providing a model statement would increase these differences. False statements indeed included more non-verifiable details than truthful statements but did not differ in number of verifiable details. True statements included a higher ratio of verifiable details. The model statement encouraged participants to give a longer and more detailed statement. However, it prompted participants to increase the number of included verifiable – and not non-verifiable – details, regardless of veracity. Using a model statement did not influence the discriminability of the verifiability approach."}}]},{"typeName":"subject","multiple":true,"typeClass":"controlledVocabulary","value":["Social Sciences"]},{"typeName":"keyword","multiple":true,"typeClass":"compound","value":[{"keywordValue":{"typeName":"keywordValue","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"Verbal cues"}},{"keywordValue":{"typeName":"keywordValue","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"Lie detection"}},{"keywordValue":{"typeName":"keywordValue","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"Verifiability approach"}},{"keywordValue":{"typeName":"keywordValue","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"Model statement"}}]},{"typeName":"depositor","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience - Maastricht University"},{"typeName":"dateOfDeposit","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"2019-07-22"},{"typeName":"kindOfData","multiple":true,"typeClass":"primitive","value":["Survey data","Experimental data"]}]},"dansDataVaultMetadata":{"displayName":"Data Vault Metadata","name":"dansDataVaultMetadata","fields":[{"typeName":"dansDataversePid","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"doi:10.34894/QSFGNC"},{"typeName":"dansDataversePidVersion","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"1.0"},{"typeName":"dansBagId","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"urn:uuid:95b33a61-b4db-4a02-86f8-b23efbffbf80"},{"typeName":"dansNbn","multiple":false,"typeClass":"primitive","value":"urn:nbn:nl:ui:13-efe89c80-9f00-4c0b-9b92-8b058cacbfe6"}]}},"files":[{"label":"DATAVERSE - VA study all.sav","restricted":true,"version":1,"datasetVersionId":1710,"dataFile":{"id":15940,"persistentId":"","filename":"DATAVERSE - VA study all.sav","contentType":"application/x-spss-sav","friendlyType":"SPSS Binary","filesize":19769,"storageIdentifier":"surf://store:16c18ff218e-85d1e7f4b975","rootDataFileId":-1,"checksum":{"type":"SHA-1","value":"6920088bfaa8b63aab945b4c50f1e478da28ec5e"},"tabularData":false,"creationDate":"2019-07-22","publicationDate":"2019-07-22","lastUpdateTime":"2019-07-22T14:18:15Z","fileAccessRequest":true}}]}}}
