Er zijn veel kinderen bij wie koorts vanzelf overgaat, maar soms is er sprake van een ernstige bacteriële infectie. Er wordt vaak onnodig (bloed)onderzoek of behandeling gestart om geen ernstige diagnose te missen. De Feverkidstool (FKT) is een beslisregel die de arts helpt in het beoordelen van kinderen met koorts op de spoedeisende hulp. Vernieuwend is dat deze FKT een digitale webapplicatie is, volgens de medische wetgeving. Om deze beslisregel goed in de praktijk toegepast te krijgen is implementatie nodig. In dit implementatieproject werken betrokken zorgverleners, patienten en de mensen die betrokken zijn bij aanschaf van medische hulpmiddelen in ziekenhuizen samen om de beste werkwijze te ontwikkelen om de FKT in Nederland op de spoedeisende hulp in gebruik te krijgen.
