The objective is to determine which approach yields better patient outcomes. The study involves patients over 18 years old treated according to national guidelines for femoral neck fractures requiring hemiarthroplasty. Interventions include hemiarthroplasty using either the posterolateral or direct lateral approach. The primary outcome measured is patient-rated quality of life (EQ-5D-5L) at 6 months post-surgery. Secondary outcomes encompass ADL functionality (KATZ), tendency to fall (FES-I), pain (NRS), re-interventions, mobility, discharge destination, complications, and cost-effectiveness.
