Vijf monsters zijn aangeleverd voor houtsoortbepaling. In alle gevallen ging het om grove den (Pinus sylvestris L.). Van drie planken zijn monsters geselecteerd voor dendrochronologisch onderzoek. Hiervan kon er slechts één gedateerd worden en enkel met de nodige moeite. Het standaard referentiemateriaal leverde redelijke, maar niet buitengewoon sterke resultaten. Een ad-hoc referentie van geselecteerde, samenhangende metingen laat echter sterke resultaten zien die weinig ruimte voor twijfel laten. Hiermee kan de datering in de tweede helft van de 17e eeuw (in ieder geval ná 1653) geplaatst
