The interviews explored experiences and perspectives on the involvement of people with intellectual disabilities in care roles. The participants in the interviews included seven peer carers and fifteen professionals. The interviews were conducted using an interview guide. The data were analysed using a general inductive approach.<br><br>\nDue to the qualitative nature of the study and the risk of individuals being identified, further research data files cannot be published. These files are stored locally on Tilburg University’s (Tranzo) hard
